- Possibly related to Carl Theodor Wagner (1801–1868) but unless the sheer number of his works published in the US in the 1870s was an artifact of copyright law, perhaps a younger generation. (The works by C.T. Wagner published in the 1820s and later seem to have been, according to Worldcat, vocal, liturgical, otherwise more serious than the 20 mostly light mostly piano works available at LoC. The works from the 1820s may also have been by Karl Jacob Wagner 1772–1822. This composer himself might be Karel Emile Wagner 1825–1889...)
