IMSLP #101173Am schönen Rhein gedenk ich dein, Op.83 (Kéler, Béla) [#6499]

That this is an arrangement of the piece is guesswork on my part if hopefully good guesswork. Perhaps this should have gone somewhere else...-Schissel (for salon orchestra with piano though not sure if the piano is in a sufficiently concertante role- or if the piano part is just the piano solo separated out to be played if one wants to play just that, instead of having the band play the band parts... convention might have, as in any time, determined what one can't just tell now- as usual... that or I just need to look more closely.) (Ok, having now downloaded the original piano version, I see they are related - the main theme after the introduction is the same in both cases - but not the same piece quite. Not sure if this is a different piece by Kéler or a potpourri -an arrangement indeed - by Lewis (?) of different themes by Kéler (perhaps others).

The Slovenian Keler website (under "Valses") indicates that the first version was (probably) for full orchestra, since it lists an autograph manuscript plus a printed score, while only mentioning a printed score for the piano setting. Of course, with a popular composer of dance music like this (the Strausses being another example), it's really hard to tell what came first. At any rate, the Lewis item above is most likely an arrangement.
