hard to tell since all the sources are typeset and none go back to the original publication, but the "á" here screams out as... erm...well... what language is that from? In French that would be an à. I have not seen, I think, a á outside of typos, unless I am mistaken, but I may be mistaken, and too there's always something new to learn... Eric 02:35, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
I stand corrected - "á" is a letter in Czech (and Schmelzer, I think, was Czech/Moravian, though I don't know if he spoke modern Czech?... and don't know if á 5 would have meant the same as à 5 to him...), also in several other languages, acc. to Wikipedia... Eric 02:37, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
