Misc. Comments

The British Library lists this set (without opus number) (Down by the sea / At the balmy... / When the day is past...) - see WorldCat. Op.104 no.1 conjectured to be "When the day is past" in part because of this, and because of the advertisement in the published score of Op.104/3. "E." expands to "Ethel" based on LOC Authority. 1955 death date from http://records.ancestry.com/margaret_lacey_records.ashx?pid=54464010 .
