Scherzo in name ("Joke") more than traditional musical style (though being a serial piece, anything goes)

Misc. Comments
Let this be a lesson to impressionable music students out of high school going to college. Always follow you inner voice! Went to Rutgers to be a doctor. Switched to music (wanted to write musicals). Unfortunately, the composition professor was a serial minimalist. So I was doomed to write serial pieces by day and musical tunes at night. Took me five years to recover from this! Here is a student piece from that period.
