These 6 were first published as a set (of "Trios concertants", also for violin/viola/cello trio) by J. J. Hummel ca.1783 (Haydn's Op. xxi. Plate 580. See WorldCat.) (Another set of baryton trios published by Hummel around the same time appeared in an arrangement for the - then still standard- 2 violin/cello trio instead. The (serious) trio with viola began to be established with Wenzel Pichl (now called Vaclav), Mozart (K.563) and others just around this time anycase...)
