Misc. Comments

This set, I'm given to understand, is the "6 Duos, Op.23" which have been very often republished, starting with B&H in 1809/1810 (announced in the Intelligenz-Blatt of AMZ of Feb.1810). Benton Numbers given in listing for AP Schmidt edition, ca.1890, confirmed in Worldcat listing for Peters edition, early 20th.

By J. J. Hummel as Op.24 (ca.1790s): see WorldCat. (Plate 801, "utgevers"?? (edition no.?) 738. RISM P 4036 ; NMI mf VI/3516 @ KB-NL ; request code? (bezettingscode) NMI71.1.)
