Misc. Comments
This two movement work comes from the manuscript Add MS 71209. The prelude is an original work by Babell while the second movement is an arrangement by Babell of the aria Caro Bene from the opera Clotilda by Francesco Bartolomeo Conti. The original work has no title.
RISM has "possibly" by William Babell for the prelude, though stylistically it matches other similar pieces known to be by Babell and is in Babell's own hand.
