Extra Information *The HWV catalogue assigns 5 letters to designate the different versions, which are all related but not identical by any means. HWV 251b is an expansion of 251a with orchestral accompaniment, and 251c (1722) is similarly an expanded orchestration of 251d. HWV 251e (1738) is largely based on 251c but has an extended sinfonia plus an added Alleluia at the end.
