- In fact Andres Miguel Jan in 2003 argues that Jacob Handl (Jacobus Gallus) was (or may have been?) the actual composer on several grounds. Not published during Victoria's lifetime, in any case (rare for Victoria, according to Timothy Dickey at allmusic.com). - Schissel
