It is not certain that the 1883 and 1885 works at memory.loc.gov are by the same Heinrich Neal who was born in 1870 (and whose earliest works registered at HMB were published in the early 1890s.) Might be a relative, as with Joseph Raff whose Civil War works were published early in his older brother's career (see discussion page for Joachim Raff). (or unrelated of course.) Also (my ulterior motive for uploading this), a string quartet (no.1) by Heinrich Neal (probably this time the one who is 1870-1940 - who knows, maybe they're the same person and a composing prodigy who composed songs in English at 13... while in Germany- well, he was German/English...could be. anyway) - the first string quartet by Heinrich Neal is at Google Books. Eventually will figure out how to prepare that for upload here and do so... Eric 16:56, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
