  • Since this is "nel Endimione", and since there is no evidence that Albanese wrote full operas, it was probably used as an insert aria in someone else's Endimione, though which one is not specified.
  • On the other hand, it may not be by Albanese at all. The BnF description says "Titre propre pris au départ de la partition. - Mention "Albanese" en haut des parties de Viol. 2° et Basso e violetta : attribution incertaine à Antoine Albanèse, qui pourrait également être l'interprète. - Mention au départ de la partie vocale : "N.o 23". - Texte de Pietro Metastasio. - Voix : Ut...". In other words, Albanese's name only comes up on a string part, and may be the name of the singer who interpreted that role. Albanèse was a famous castrato.
