Misc. Comments

Commissioned, it seems, by Sara Levy (born Itzig, a great-aunt of Felix Mendelssohn, 1761-1854) who along with two of her siblings Fanny (b.1758) and Zippora (b.1760) were (according to the notes of a 2015 Haydn/CPE Bach recording, Accent ACC24293, of flute music) quite good keyboard players in Berlin; probably intended for Sara and Zippora for the keyboard parts. Said to be CPE Bach's last work.
