It is not likely that this work was originally for voice and piano, since zarzuelas are theatre works that usually had orchestral accompaniments. However, since Calleja (full name apparently Rafael Calleja Gómez) was not one of the more well-known composers of zarzuelas, and this was not one of his best-known zarzuelas, an original score is unlikely to ever be found.
