Commentary on the movements
- Sinfonia. The first movement of Brandenburg Concerto No.1 (without Violino Piccolo), BWV 1046.
- Recitativo: Falsche Welt, dir trau ich nicht! Secco recitative.
- Aria: Immerhin, immerhin. FOr Soprano, 2 Violins, and continuo. The soprano mainly sings decorative lines above the violin, especially in the middle section.
- Recitativo: Gott ist getreu! Secco recitative.
- Aria: Ich halt es mit dem lieben Gott. "Relaxed and dance-like"1. A pastoral movement (with all three oboes!).
- Choral: In dich hab ich gehoffet, Herr. A plain chorale setting.
