Welcome everyone! I'm Edward W. Guo, the creator and leader of IMSLP/Petrucci Music Library. But IMSLP is very much a group effort, so treat me as another member of the team when I'm on this site. Besides guiding the project (gently I hope), getting yelled at for writing bug-ridden code and resolving the occasional dispute, I am just like any other IMSLP contributor.

I'm also a 22 year old (b.1987) recent graduate from the New England Conservatory with a BM in composition. In addition to writing music, I have been accused of playing the violin and piano, a fact which I am not convinced of myself. Started the IMSLP on a cold winter day in my 18th year, and have enjoyed every step of the way.

I used to wander around Boston with no great aim, but Harvard was kind enough to lend me their grounds for the same activity. For some reason, they have also told me that they will give me a degree thingy if I wander around Harvard long enough. Not sure what that's about.

At this moment, and for the next few months, I will be semi-absent. This means that my response to any non-essential e-mail will be either grossly delayed or nonexistent. If it makes sense to post the question or comment on the forums, please do so.

Things that should be posted to the forums include the following. All exceptions should be e-mailed directly to me.

1. All copyright-related matters, except a direct accusation of infringement on IMSLP by the copyright owner.
2. All technical problems, except security-related problems.
3. Everything else IMSLP-related, except requests for me to personally do something outside of the IMSLP site, or questions only I can answer as the president of Project Petrucci LLC (owner of IMSLP).
