Misc. Comments

  • The cantus, tenor and bassus are identical to the original setting, probably by Busnois. The altus can be found in several other editions. The lively bassus II is unique to this manuscript. It is attributed to Felice, otherwise unrepresented in the volume. That may be Felice de Giovanni, who is a very sketchy figure historically as well.
