Structure very like a number of e.g. Bach's cantatas (alternating recitatives and arias, with a final chorale setting. Like some of Bach's cantatas though not many (well, there's argument about that), seems to be for solo voices (here four instead of one). Seems to be a cantata for Trinity, Dominica 8, according to RISM, but nothing on the manuscript except for a library-note says so.
Telemann seems to have set this text Ihr Lieben! glaubet... also, his TVWV1:908 (, which was published around 1994 and probably much earlier - around 1830 or so if I read something right.) - Schissel
