History

This Paris publishing firm operated from 1855 until being taken over by Alphonse Leduc in 1905. It published many works, sacred and secular, by Charles Gounod (1818—1893), including the popular items Jésus de Nazareth (known as Bethlehem in the English-speaking world) and Sérénade. It also published works by Alfred Lebeau (1835-1906), Auguste Lebeau and José Puig Alsubide (1823—1914).
