A file format used by Finale. There is also a commercial-grade music typesetting program called SCORE which uses the same .MUS extension. SCORE .MUS files are not readable in Finale using the File...Open method. Instead, to open SCORE .MUS files in Finale, use File...Import...SCORE menu option.


Finale MUS files can be read and printed using the free Finale Reader [1].
