Misc. Notes In one of his Vespers according to RISM (though it seems not the same work as this one), the last of its 17 sections; perhaps also the last section of this one (last big section, though subdivided itself into 12 parts)?

Misc. Comments

Grove Music lists Cazzati's op.37 as Messa, e salmi, 4vv, 2 vn (Bologna, 1666). The only Magnificat in Grove's list is op.56. This page should not be tagged until a scanned original is uploaded, so the details can be confirmed.

"Salmi" can imply any music for Vespers including a Magnificat, as is the case with the Op. 1 Salmi e messa (1641). Not that a complete opus 37 facsimile wouldn't be welcome! Richard Mix 05:41, 25 November 2012 (EST)
Well, the title page says (or now says? - maybe it's been changed, haven't looked at the upload history) "Magnificat aus Messa, e Salmi, ... Op.37". So for one thing it's an extract from that larger work, yes. Given our page title rules it needs to be moved to Messa e salmi, Op.37 ... - E.Schissel
