Misc. Comments

Question- who published the 1799 version (Breitkopf?) The October 5 1803 Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung opens with a review of the Breitkopf publication of the score ("Partition") of this work (identifiable uniquely not just by the references to C-dur but also by the one line quote from the opening of the Credo (Oct. 5 1803 p.4 and succeeding and preceding pages - of course "Paukenmesse" is not used, etc., being nicknames of later origin! So this score was published by 1803, but reviews did often appear several years after publication - fair enough, as it prevented hurried consideration :) )
