Navigation etc.

  • Written for the nomination of Apollinaire de Kontski as director of music at St. john's Cathedral in Warsaw.
  • Composition and first performance dates are from DUX 0720.
  • It seems that there are 2 performing versions (as with Latin Mass in D-flat major): one with organ accompagnement (recorded by Wojnarowski on DUX) and the other (published by Hoesick) with strings and organ. There are much more tempo indications in Wojnarowski's recording than in Hoesick's score. Moreover: Wojnarowski repeats outer parts of Gloria after Gratias, but there is no such section in Hoesick's score.
