- Although the solo part is cello, the piano score has the soloists line in treble clef and the indication is "Violon, ou Flûte, ou Violoncelle". The part can be read from the score for the violin or flute.
Ethel Harraden wrote many individual songs and ballads, and there would also be songs from her operas. Until we have a specific source to work with, the original instrumentation of this is unknown, so it can't be tagged. Any further information would be appreciated.
