Misc. Notes This Album presents selected numbers from the complete edition of Cesi's Pianoforte Method as explained in I.Philipp's Preface. His contribution was requested from the publishers in order to present the method in a more practical one-volume format. This compendium of digital exercises was found among the archives of Kostia Konstantinoff who, on his arrival in France via Germany from the Ukraine, continued his training as a soloist at the Ecole Normale de Paris Alfred Cortot, from which he graduated with a diploma signed by Cortot himself (07/12/1929). It is therefore logical to consider this volume was part of the school curriculum in that time period. However only certain pages have pencilled markings (not made apparent in the black and white scans). The volume was found in a state of disrepair which explains the bad quality of some of the scans as the color scanned annotated pages (which can display the pencilled notes) testify.
