Misc. Comments
RISM lists 12 autograph copies of this work with varying instrumentations - 2 choruses and orchestra ; 2 voices, 2 bassoons, cello ; soprano, chorus, orchestra ; soprano, womens' chorus, orchestra ; SATB solos, chorus, orchestra ; tenor, male chorus, orchestra ; 2 sopranos, tenor, bass, SSTB chorus, continuo ; and in varying keys. Presumably a common and much-distributed work to exist in several copies sent to various colleagues (when relatively few works were published, still?)- some of the copies date from around 1796 so even if first publication was in 1808, the work was composed well before that.
