COMPOSITION NOTES

Indexing our alphabet numerically in modulo 12 and flagging the letters
"A-R-M-S-T-R-O-N-G" against this index, one sees each third character
as redundant and the unique members reduced to six,

          A     R     S     T     O     N
          0     5      6     7     2     1

with corresponding intervals

             5      1     1    -5    -1   .

This interval series, however, once expanded by a factor of 5 and only
slightly transposed, yields exactly the member indices just omitted,

          10   11    4      9     8     3

Combining then the two series (with index 0 assigned to D#) as follows

          D#   G#   A    Bb    F    E
          C#   D     G    C     B    F#   ,

I have fashioned this movement briefly addressing several favorite
pianistic concerns: memory, legato (via fingers &/or sustaining pedal),
and the articulation of mirrors.
