||Version 1: 4 solo voices (SSAA), choir (SSAA), strings, continuo|
Version 2: 4 solo voices (SATB), choir (SATB), orchestra (2 oboes, bassoon, strings, continuo)
This was written in 1735 for the Pieta in Venice and so the "female chorus" tag has been used. It also exists in a later version, revised by Hasse himself, to include a more standard vocal ensemble of SATB soloists and choir and a larger orchestra. The autograph manuscript for this second version dates from around 1745-1760.
