Lassen set both of Goethe's two books of Faust (Faust I.Teil and Faust II.Teil) ; this is from the incidental music to the second, much less musically-set book.

Original scans: 72dpi(?-my processing software treated them as 150dpi), color jpg files approximately 1170 by 1650 pixels. Converted to black and white tif files, deskewed, re-sampled to 600dpi, and set uniform margins.

Music was written for a production of the two parts of Goethe's Faust by Otto Devrient (1838–1894).
