Misc. Notes Ideally, this piece was composed for paired organs, i.e. two instruments not so dissimilar as to favour one over the other, a situation that is practically non-existent, which is why the composer had in mind a setup whereby the regular church organ might be opposed to a virtual organ of comparable strength and versatility.

  • No.1 composed after nos.2-4, quite rapidly, but placed before on the spur of the moment, in an 'inspirational' manner (whatever that may mean), when working on editing the whole series. The initial series composed in 2014, revised May 2016. As usual, the revisions are not mere editing adjustments, but involve a good deal of note shifting and adding (rather than suppressing). This practice applies more particularly to the third piece, for which a sentimental seven measure refrain was added in places. The last piece for 2 organs was left incomplete in 2014. A finalized version was completed on 4th of July 2016.
