The notes to the score seem to have been written in 1914 given his Wikipedia biography (they describe Scheinpflug on a concert tour in Russia as Germany and Russia declared war, and as Scheinpflug was about to take up his duties with the Bluthner orchestra, delayed until he could leave the resulting prisoner of war status. Russia and Germany appear(?) to have been at peace around 1908–1910.
