Patapsco was the ladies' school where Rohbock taught at this time (the "Patapsco Female Institute (Wikipedia)", built in 1837 in Ellicott City on its highest hill (it closed in 1891).) It was operated by Almira Lincoln Phelps between 1841 and 1855 (one of her poems was set by Rohbock in his The May Queen.)
