  • "Das Gedicht „Der Main“ von Friedrich Hölderlin gab die Anregung zur Komposition dieser Sonate." Second movement originally a set of variations, which was replaced at Walter Gieseberg's request. New edition of ED 2518 (BSS 34790) published in 2004 according to the SW text; 34 pages as opposed to the original 30, bu no change in edition and publisher numbers.
