Piano Sonata in D major (Rust, Friedrich Wilhelm)
Wilhelm Rust (1822-1892) -more cocomposition than editing.
Leipzig: Fritsch, 1891. Plate E.W.F. 514 L.
Dedicated to Carl Kleemann (1842–1923).
|Work Title||Piano Sonata in D|
|Composer||Rust, Friedrich Wilhelm|
|Year/Date of Composition||1794 (alleged)|
One of four (G, D, C, Bfl)edited by Wilhelm Rust 1822-92 and published in 1891. Biographical essay included Dedication is the editor's --- and therefore does not belong in the WORK info section, since it is not a dedication of the _work_, but of a particular (and corrupted, since Wilhelm Rust was a very poor) editor.
This may be in fact a very free arrangement of movements of several Rust sonatas that were originally for other instrumentations (e.g. viola d'amore and keyboard). The first movement seems to be related to the first movement of Czach 85 (see), not sure about the others... - Schissel
