The validity of the claim for US copyright status is extremely dubious. It appears that the only item Peters can claim on this edition would be the English preface by Josef Marx dated 1956. The Kinsky edition was origianlly published (with Kinsky's German preface also reprinted here) sometime in the mid-1920s. Carolus 20:53, 22 May 2007 (EDT)
This work is based on the Notturno for Flute, Viola and Guitar (Op.21) by Wenzeslaus Thomas Matiegka (1773-1830), which Schubert re-worked and added a violoncello part. Aldona 17:49, 1 May 2008 (EDT)
