Navigation etc.

  • Though RISM lists the orchestration as "orch", which in our terminology would imply at least some winds and/or brass/percussion, the score gives no indication of the instrumentation, so the uploader's instrumentation has been tagged.
  • This score was long thought to be the setting of the opera Zenobia e Radamisto by Tomaso Albinoni with libretto by Marchi (Venice, 1698), but reference to surviving arias from Giovanni Legrenzi's opera of the same name in other sources, and comparison with the published libretto, demonstrates that it is in fact the setting by Legrenzi, which was first produced in Ferrara in 1665.
