Misc. Comments

Recorded along with his 9th symphony and flute concerto in G on MDG in 2004. (Note re numbering- his first fourteen symphonies were unpublished, followed by the published, numbered (1-9) symphonies, according to Stephen Fisher as summarized in a collection quoting ETA Hoffmann's reviews of symphonies 5 and 6 (this), a review published 17 May 1809- Hoffmann's diary notes that he sent the review off the month before that, and they had been received for review by him 2 March 1809.) (The reviews of symphony 5 and Sinfonie turque can be seen in the 17 May 1809 (no.33) AMZ Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung.)
