According to an article or ad that ran in many 1930 newspapers, composed or published when she was 16. Renewed in 1911. When she wrote "Star of the Sea," Amanda Kennedy was a serious little Irish girl of 16, with an ambition to be a music teacher."" (So born ca.1867 or earlier??)
