  • Mr. Silvertrust quotes The Chamber Music Journal as approximating the date of composition in the 1840s, though date of publication in the 1870s seems reasonable since opp. 28–31 were published about then. (G major, the key of the first allegro con brio of the first movement, is of course more accurate than the G minor of his description.)-Schissel (also see HMB link.)
