Talk:6 Flute Sextets, G.461-466 (Boccherini, Luigi)

The op. 15 are string quartets - see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_compositions_by_Luigi_Boccherini ? - are these the op. 23 or the divertimentos, op. 16? (Or was op. 15 applied to two different sets of works, as does happen?) Eric 04:10, 26 February 2009 (EST)

The movements of the PDF match with those assoc with G461-466, as described in: http://www.uquebec.ca/musique/catal/boccherini/boclchb6.html

Note discrepancy in key signature of G461, but the mvt names are the same.

The French version of wikipedia page on 'Boccherini' says this: Divertimenti (ou Sextuors) G 461-466 (op. 16, 1773, éd. Paris, La Chevardière 1775, Sieber/Le Duc, 1790 comme op. 15 - Manuscrit : Paris, BN Ms. 1610), flûte, deux violons, alto & deux violoncelles

Since today generally Boccherini's own opus numbers are used, the title of the page should be changed to: 6 Sextets, G.461-466 (Op.16). I don't know how to do it, can someone help?

You are still a new user, so you don't have this, but in a little while, a 'move' tab will appear at the top of most pages. You can use that to specify a new title. KGill talk email 21:07, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
