If this is copyrighted in Canada, why haven't the works been deleted yet?

Just because something is on a US server doesn't make it legal - if I downloaded the files in Canada it's still a copyright infringement here. Isn't there some way the download can be restricted to US downloaders only?
- Not within reason no. I'm the only server administrator and I do not have either the skill, money or time (I'm a 4th year undergrad, and am preparing for my masters) to implement anything near what you are suggesting. If you are serious about what you are saying, give me $50,000 and I will do it. That is not outside of reason: this is an extremely crucial period in my life. I'm already spending truckloads of time on IMSLP fixing back end stuff and upgrading (I've already spend 4 hours today and will spend more because of some brokenness in a remote corner of the site). --Feldmahler 17:43, 26 September 2007 (EDT)
- P.S. I believe the warning is sufficient. There are tags on the top of the page and in the file entry. Whether you look at them or not is your choice, but they are very clearly there.
