The BSB entry (accessible from Worldcat) has "Aus dem Nachlaß Henri Marteau. - Mit hs. Widmung d. Komp."- does this mean Marteau is editor , or also arranger?
- I think "nachlass" translates roughly into English as "legacy" or something 'left behind' - which implies that Marteau at least completed the arrangement or brought it into publishable form. Since the composer lived for about 12 years after the violin and piano version was published, I think it might mean that the composer left the production of the violin and piano version - with his blessing - to Marteau.
