Talk:Pièces de viole (Marais, Marin)

I looked though the 3 books of the suites and did not find the "Lully" Gavotte. If the pieces is spuriously attributed to Lully. I'm not sure that I would assign it to Marais either. YuriyLcello 16:38, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

There were (when the previous note was written) 3 books on line. There are now four with the addition of vol V. Look again? On the other hand, I'm fuzzy on what you mean by the "Lully" gavotte, and can't find anything solid online. If you can be more specific, I might be able to help. Tiorbinist 12:14, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

The download listed under "Livre III - bc" is in fact "Livre IV - bc".

Please correct or provide the real "Livre III - bc"...

Suzuki: "Lully Gavotte"

The piece from the Suzuki Method volumes is a Rondeau from Livre 1. The solo part, titled Viola da Gamba, here: http://imslp.org/wiki/Special:ImagefromIndex/39258 lists it as #24 and it is on page 30/122 of the PDF. The continuo part, http://imslp.org/wiki/Special:ImagefromIndex/68865 lists it as #21 because the movements have been misnumbered, starting from the Double on page 12 (which should be 14). The rondeau can be found on page 20/101 of the PDF

There are also 2 arrangements of the "Lully Gavotte" listed under the "arrangements and transcriptions" tab under Livre II: Gavotte.
