Some solo work from the choir , e.g. a section with soprano solo (probably? acceptable to use soloists from within the choir rather than separate soloists.) One of at least three settings of this text (possibly not the same exact translation) by the composer (another in E, referred to by the composer as "Te Deum in E-flat, No.2" on its cover &c. - was published in 1878, and another in B was published in 1881.)
