Misc. Comments

Hucbald was originally composed for the inauguration of the National Exhibition at Brussels on June 16, 1880 but when the composer completed the work in April he decided it was not suitable for an outdoor performance. He then composed the Triumphal March (Triomfmarsch) De genius des Vaderlands for the Exhibition performance.
