ND Music Editions is run by composer Nels Drue Daily.
Nels Daily was raised in Livermore, CA. At nine years old he joined the Golden Gate Boys Choir and performed two international tours with them: one to the Orient, and another to Europe. Later he studied percussion performance, and joined the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. He competed in three national tours with them (1995, 1997, and 1998).
Nels then studied percussion performance at Brigham Young University Idaho, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Music with a minor in graphic design. He was completely self taught as a composer until his admittance into the University of Utah School of Music, where he later earned his Master of Music in composition. He is now pursuing a DMA in composition at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with secondary studies in conducting and music typesetting.
Nels’ favorite composers are Johann Sebastian Bach, and Dimitri Dimtryevich Shostakovich. Nels uses the LilyPond Music Engraving system for most scores, and Sibelius for other quick work.
