Sean Salamon's music has been performed by ensembles, both professional and amateur, in 20 countries around the globe. In 2013, Salamon founded Ping, an early music/new music vocal quintet with whom he has given concerts across the USA, garnering praise from critics and audiences. Ping has collaborated with artists as diverse as hip-hop artist Frzy— and a concert series with Chatham Baroque in which the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review called Salamon's performance "superb... as stylish as [he was] expressive."

Salamon holds a master's degree in composition from London's Royal Academy of Music (2015), and a bachelor's from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Music in Pittsburgh (2014). While studying at Carnegie Mellon, he was the music director for the CMU Originals, an award-winning all-male a cappella group, and the composer-in-residence and baritone choral scholar at Trinity Cathedral in downtown Pittsburgh.

In 2014, Salamon won both of Carnegie Mellon's awards for undergraduate composition: orchestral writing and string quartet writing. In 2013, the CMU School of Music awarded him the Presser Scholarship, and In 2012, the Harry G. Archer Award for Outstanding Sophomore.

Salamon is also passionate about the stage. In 2013, he directed Scotch'n'Soda's 75th anniversary production, Assassins by Sondheim, and music directed The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for them in 2014. He has played leading roles in Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, Falsettos, The Rocky Horror Show, Rent, and Les Misèrables in community theatre and student productions. He is an Eagle Scout.

Salamon is published by Selah Publishing. Many of his scores and recordings are available at and Soundcloud.

Salamon works during the day as a headhunter in Midtown Manhattan and, during his free time, enjoys taking photographs of his friends.
