Zelenka Trio Sonatas

Dear Applovr, according to your upload, these were edited by Malcom Messiter. Assuming you are indeed this person, upon which edition did you base yours? These trio sonatas were only first published beginning in the mid-1950s as edited by Christian Schönbaum, so any newer edition based on that original would not be legal. I'll jump in here to mention that 1) The 1954 edition (Hortus Musicus 157) is free in the EU and Canada. 2) It also happens to be free in the USA, as there is no renewal listed in the online records of the US Copyright Office. So, as long as Applovr is posting his own setting it's fine, as he would be free to also post the 1954 edition. Carolus 05:02, 31 August 2009 (UTC) (IMSLP Copyright Admin)
Ok then, I didn't consider the non-renewal. I'd still be personally interested to know about this edition. Daphnis 12:50, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Actually, since Applovr hasn't let us know if he's the typesetter or not, we'll have to delete these soon. Oh well... Carolus 03:35, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Let's give him another 24 hours. I actually have all the trio sonatas as published by Horticus myself, so I may just go ahead and upload them all. All 6 are at least PD in Canada I believe...some are in the US also. Daphnis 03:44, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

OK, Schönbaum didn't renew anything issued before 1961, so US status is free on a number of works. Carolus 04:36, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
