Work-pages, titles, Creative Commons

Dear Edson,

Thanks for uploading your works to IMSLP. Here are couple of points to remember for future uploads:

  1. It is not necessary to include instrumentation as part of the title. We have a category walker which takes care of not only the instrumentation or performing forces required for the original version of a woek, but even takes that of different arrangements found on the same page.
  2. Use one work-page for each work. Please do not set up separate pages for different versions of the same work.
  3. You might wish to consider using the Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial 3.0, the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 3.0, or the Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives 3.0 licenses for your original compositions. The simplest license Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 allows people to download your scores and re-sell them on Ebay without payment of royalties. Using one of the stricter versions of the license limits the use of scores to non-commercial purposes.

I will go ahead and fix the items you've already uplaoded. So just remember these basic guidelines for future contributions.

Creating Superfluous pages

Dear Elopes, Kindly look before creating useless, superfluous pages for works we already have. There has been a page here for Vivaldi's Concerto for 2 Violins in A minor, RV 522 for some time, if you had bothered to look instead of creating a new page which now has to be redirected. You have created no less than four utterly superfluous pages for works we already have. Please take the time to look through a composer's category before creating new pages. It's an annoying waste of time to clean up a mess. Thanks, Carolus 02:01, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
