It may not always be so (Nichols, Eric Paul)

Hi Eraoul! Do you happen to have permission from e. e. cummings's estate to upload his text here? If not, I'm afraid it will have to be deleted, as he died in 1962 and is under copyright in most of the world. (You may want to see this page for more information.) Thanks, KGill talk email 21:53, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi! It was my understanding (based on a google search of pages discussing copyright and e. e. cummings) that this particular poem is in public domain. Thanks, --Eric P. Nichols 23:11, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

More info: this is an early poem, published in 1917 (in Eight Harvard Poets, New York, Laurence J. Gomme), so it should be ok. --Eric P. Nichols 23:26, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

It's public domain in the US, but IMSLP's servers are located in Canada :-) Copyright on all of cummings's works will expire there in 2013 (not very long, I know, but it's still in full force). KGill talk email 00:34, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

I see, thanks for clarifying. I have sent a request to Limeright Publishing for permission. --Eric P. Nichols 01:05, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

If you don't receive permission in 24 hours from upload time, it should technically be deleted. BKhon 01:47, 14 September 2010 (UTC)

I see you finally got a response confirming permission - excellent! KGill talk email 20:48, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Yes, it took several months, but I'm happy to have permission now. Thanks for the help. --Eric P. Nichols 21:07, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
